Despite myriad signs of homegrown peril to America and despite supreme power-and-responsibility of all citizens to sound the alarm and fight that threat, and as testament to the success of the few (the 1%) who subvert our republic and take from and harm us (the 99%) and weaken our ability and will to stop them, no person or group of note has described the nature of or warned of today's national/homeland security PROBLEM that's vastly more dangerous than terrorism --- America's democratic processes, representative governance, and all five kinds of public good listed in the first sentence of the US Constitution are under assault by a homeland enemy: consolidated American wealth-and-power and their media machine, beginning two centuries after the American Revolution, planned and launched a campaign to gain power over the American public and take wealth from the American public; they wage escalating war on America's self-governance and five kinds of public good, and thus commit "Treason" according to the Framers; they're a modern domestic form of the consolidated-wealth-and-power enemy described in the central section of the document of dissent we celebrate every Fourth of July --- and no person or group of note has outlined or championed the surefire full SOLUTION required by our Constitution and Bill of Rights. How CivicPowerUSA.org began. I'm Dan Ruuska (danr4@comcast.net), a Seattle retiree and concerned citizen. On March-20-2003 our older daughter asked, "Dad, why are we bombing Iraq?" Our leaders and news media were not being honest about the reasons for the war. Those members of our public trust were violating the public's trust. Their dishonesty about Iraq was the tip of the iceberg of a vast betrayal by the top 1% of Americans: consolidated American wealth-and-power and their media machine are waging war on America's self-governance and America's five kinds of public good, "Treason" as defined by Article 3 Section 3 of the US Constitution. My answer to our daughter about the Shock-and-Awe bombing of Iraq -- "So America's small and tight group of consolidated wealth-and-power, the right wing, can take and hoard wealth and power from Iraq and more from America," the "why" our leaders and news media were concealing from the public -- grew into CivicPowerUSA.org, a democracy weapon/tool that We the People (conservatives and liberals, the 99%) can deploy and wield to stop and prevent war on other nations -- and on America -- by American wealth-and-power (the right wing, the 1%; they disguise themselves as conservative and their media as liberal).

A wellspring of civic power awaits to be fully tapped into and unleashed. The big-picture full solution to America's huge treasonous problem comes from our primal urges for justice, ancient survival wisdom, early American history, Declaration of Independence, US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. That is, the political strategies and four-element plan contained in this website come from millions of people over the millennia -- even from our DNA -- not from this one concerned citizen.

The documents above outline a surefire cure for a modern strain of the ancient wealth-and-power disease that began to flare up inside America soon after our 200th Fourth of July. The founders of our republic understood and feared the wealth-and-power disease -- wealth-and-power consolidates, inflicts harm on the public as it extracts wealth and power from the public, which incites the public to revolt and restore fairness -- and created supreme law to forever protect America from the disease. They described the disease in our Declaration of Independence -- it fills the entire central section, more than half of the charter -- and they wrote a Constitution and Bill of Rights full of inoculations against the disease (America's core national/homeland security system, comprised of many components of supreme law, is described in this website). But today's domestic strain of the wealth-and-power disease -- which includes the White House, Congress, and Supreme Court who since 1980 switched allegiance from America's We the People (the 99%) to Unbridled Wealth and Power (the 1%) -- overpowered the many defenses constructed by the Framers and breached the national/homeland security of America's self-governance and the national/homeland security of America's five kinds of public good. Evidence of the breach? Massive loss of America's self-governance and America's five kinds of public good over the past three decades: Loss of fair democratic processes. Loss of true representative governance. Loss of justice for all. Loss of domestic tranquility necessary for a united state of America, and for citizen cooperation toward self-governance and public good. Loss of common defense of America's self-governance and public good, including loss of national security and homeland security of America's self-governance and public good. Loss of general welfare of many kinds. Loss of liberty and its privacies and freedoms. 9/11 (an occurrence of blowback from the relentless diplomatic/economic/covert/military campaign by consolidated American wealth-and-power to gain power abroad and take wealth from abroad and in the process harm self-governance and public good abroad), and the retaliatory wars on Iraq and Afghanistan (the 9/11 terrorists were Saudi Arabian [15], United Arab Emirati [2], Lebanese [1], and Egyptian [1]), were exploited by the disease (the 1%) to extract wealth and power from Americans and thus hurt America's self-governance and public good. Saber-rattling at Iran and China may lead to more blowback and more harm to our self-governance and public good. Failure of our journalists and newscasters to fully and honestly report the disease and its dire effects such as these: loss of citizen financial wealth to the homeland wealth-and-power disease at the rate of more than $10,000 per adult a year; loss of citizen lives to the disease at the rate of more than fifty 9/11s a year; suppression of free speech that warns of the disease and informs how to stop it; repression of citizens who fight the disease, that is, repression of grassroots national/homeland defense of America's self-governance and five kinds of public good. This virulent homeland strain of the wealth-and-power disease -- which began to flare up inside America around 1980, tricks America to feed and grow it, and bleeds self-governance and public good from America at a faster and faster rate -- is far more dangerous to ourselves and our posterity than the strain We the People neutralized more than two centuries ago during American Revolution I.
