Neutralize the runaway consolidated wealth-and-power and its media machine who are subverting and hurting America, and restore and grow our principled self-governance and five classes of common well-being; our Constitution requires We the People to wake up, rise up, and just do it

First, heal the enemy's deep and dangerous wound to America's national security

Our democracy and public good -- called for in our Declaration of Independence, won by our American Revolution, embodied in our Constitution -- are under assault by a small group of Americans. Consolidated wealth and power -- and their media machine -- are crippling our self-governance, slashing the five kinds of common well-being listed in the first sentence of our Constitution, and thus are attacking the very heart and soul of America. They are the enemy within, our dangerous homeland enemy.

Exactly what is and who are the enemy within? Executive/legislative/judicial federal powers, wealth-corporate power, Christian-Right religious power, and mass-media power -- powers kept separated and harmless in the past -- around 1980 began to consolidate into the unbridled right-wing power that controls, loots, and hurts America today.

During American Revolution II -- a long-overdue major maintenance and tune-up of our democracy (it's not a revolt) -- We the People unite and cooperate, defend America by neutralizing the enemy within that's subverting and hurting America, and return our nation to the principled self-governance and five major kinds of common well-being that we fought for in American Revolution I and are bound by our supreme Law of the Land to provide to ourselves and our posterity.

We are not able to launch it yet, because of the wound the enemy inflicted. Over the past quarter century, they severely weakened the ability of "We, the People" to unite and cooperate to "provide for the common defence" against subversion and harm originating from within our country. They did it with help from their attack machine and media machine; the two machines are tightly linked. They provoked domestic division and discord which shattered the "domestic Tranquility" we need to unite and cooperate to defend America against domestic dangers. That ancient divide-and-conquer strategy is just one of the several methods the enemy within employs to subdue the desire and ability of We the People to unite and cooperate to carry out our Constitution.

To be able to launch American Revolution II, first we must self-heal this very deep wound to our national defense and national security. We must build up our will and skill to unite and cooperate in a common cause against the common enemy attacking America from within. If We the People fail to build up this will and skill, then the enemy within will grow bolder and more reckless -- and more hurtful to our economic, social, and bodily common well-being -- as they take and we lose the bountiful "public Good" that we called for in our Declaration of Independence, won in American Revolution I, and enshrined in our Constitution: justice, unity and cooperation, national security, the general welfare, and liberty for ourselves and our posterity.

As explained in CivicPowerUSA.org, moral outrage in response to injustice -- and unity and cooperation to end injustice -- according to modern science have been observed in chimpanzees and are so automatic and natural in humans they seem to be biological survival mechanisms hard-wired into our DNA. Colonial Americans certainly exhibited moral outrage as well as unity and cooperation: in moral outrage against injustices inflicted by the enemy of 1776, they published the Declaration of Independence (more than half of the document is a list of the injustices), and directed by the Continental Congress they united and cooperated to end the injustices with the American Revolution. Then, they wrote humankind's universal quest for justice which is driven by moral outrage, and the unity and cooperation required to establish justice, into the first sentence of our Constitution: "establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility" have been the #1 and #2 public-good aims, values, and responsibilities of America and We the People since 1787. (What are the #3, #4, and #5 public-good aims, values, and responsibilities of all real Americans as required by the Law of our Land? "[P]rovide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty" -- "to ourselves and our Posterity.")

However, largely by using their news-and-entertainment media machine as a weapon to manipulate us to think and act in their favor and thus against America and ourselves and our posterity, the enemy within switched off our unity and cooperation.

We must switch our unity and cooperation back on. We must heal that deep and dangerous wound to our national security. We must slap ourselves in the face -- to wake up to the danger of the enemy within and its media machine, to jump-start our supreme power to defend our country and restore our democracy and public good, and to ignite real patriotism en masse. 270 million real Americans must rise up, directed by a modern equivalent of the Continental Congress, and resolutely do something about the small number of fake Americans who are subverting and hurting America. (1/2 million dangerous citizens, the wealth-corporate core of the enemy within, are at the root of it all. After they and their media machine are neutralized, their 30 million religious followers would have no more power or influence either.)

After restoring the unity and cooperation required by our Constitution, then American Revolution II can proceed. The four elements of the revolution are explained in the conclusion. All four elements originate from our long human past, and from America's past, not from this writer. The odds of overwhelming success are most excellent.

The intensifying harm to our country and the world -- by dangerous Americans -- must be stopped and made right

America's democracy and public good -- our principled self-governance and five classes of common well-being -- are under mounting assault from within by an out-of-control small group of Americans.

A consolidation of executive/legislative/judicial federal powers, wealth-corporate power, Christian-Right religious power, and mass-media power -- a fusion of unbridled wealth and power that began to grow around 1980 -- is crippling America's self-governance and slashing America's common well-being. That consolidated wealth and power -- and the Americans who belong to it and run it -- are the enemy within, our dangerous homeland enemy.

During the past quarter-century, Washington and our press switched sides: from serving We the People, to serving the enemy within.

Today's White House and Congress serve wealth-corporate clients in return for their cash and favors -- and Christian-Right clients in return for their bloc of votes -- at the economic, social, and bodily expense of We the People and our posterity. Their advertising-and-PR industry, and their news-and-entertainment industry, aid and abet.

The wealth-corporate base of the enemy within consists of a half-million voters, 0.15% of the public. The Christian-Right base consists of 30 million voters, 10% of the public. That 10% right-wing minority controls, exploits, and hurts the 90% conservative-and-liberal majority.

How does the 10% right-wing minority exert such powerful dominance over the 90% conservative-and-liberal majority? In part, by preventing conservatives and liberals from understanding how they have very much in common and are very different from the right wing. In part, by fomenting nationwide division and discord that pits conservatives and liberals against each other so that they cannot possibly unite and cooperate as a team to fight the right wing hurting them both. These are just two of several ways they weaken the ability of We the People to unite and cooperate to defend America against their subversion and harm.

They already subverted our government of, by, and for We the People into a government of, by, and for the enemy within. They disabled our real American democracy so totally they're now able to do as they please. At a faster and faster pace, they are slashing all the common well-being benefits of America listed in the first sentence of our Constitution: justice, unity and cooperation, national security, the general welfare, and liberty. That is, they are relentlessly assaulting all five categories of government-provided public good, and the list of wrongdoing is long for each of the five categories. But according to the first grievance against the enemy of 1776 listed in our Declaration of Independence, and according to the first sentence in our Constitution, government-provided public good is a huge major purpose of America and a fundamental American value. Thus, by subverting our self-governance and by hurting our common well-being, they are attacking and wounding the very heart and soul of America.

Most Americans cannot see the enemy within -- all we see is their patriotic/pious/righteous/altruistic image designed by their advertising-and-PR machine and spread by their news-and-entertainment machine. Most Americans cannot see the many acts of unlawfulness and inhumanity they commit here and abroad -- because their mass-media machine covers it up or spins it into goodness.

Consequently, America is largely unaware of the massive wrongdoing committed by the enemy within, acts such as these: In the 1980s, to fight the Cold War, with our tax dollars and Christian-Right support, and in partnership with Saudi Arabia and Wahabiism (Islamic equivalent of the Christian Right), they bred militant Islam in Afghanistan (which gave rise to the Taliban) and in Pakistan, and they recruited and armed and trained their proxy military weapon of terrorism (including members and leaders of al Qaeda) now lashing back at America and our allies. In the early 1990s they began to plan the invasion of Iraq, in January 2001 they intensified their planning for control and plunder of Iraq, from the early 1990s to early 2003 they regularly bombed Iraq under humanitarian pretence in preparation for invasion, and they exploited 9/11 to pull off their long-premeditated war under a guise of defending America and giving democracy to Iraq. Through tax-and-corporate fleecing and trust-fund draining and deficit spending, they steal about two trillion dollars yearly from We the People and our posterity. By violating and weakening a wide range of laws that provide common well-being, including to allow corporations to commit more harm and to get away with it more, they cause at least 50,000 unnecessary deaths a year in our homeland. Their economic, social, and bodily toll on the rest of the world is similar.

Our Declaration of Independence and Constitution contain the rich substance of genuine American democracy: to create America, We the People revolted against the unjust consolidated wealth and power of the enemy of 1776 that was hurting Colonial America; to protect and preserve today's America, We the People, the government of America and supreme power in America, are bound by our Constitution to provide principled self-governance and five major kinds of common well-being to ourselves and our posterity; the Articles and Amendments lay out how to accomplish and protect and preserve this "more perfect Union" symbolized by our Flag. Our true American values -- We the People provide principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being to ourselves and our posterity -- are shared, deep down inside, by all true conservatives and all true liberals. But the enemy within, a right-wing power, erased nearly all of this Civics-101 substance from our public schools and public mind.

As explained throughout CivicPowerUSA.org and touched upon in this summary document, the enemy within is a modern domestic version of the enemy of 1776, the enemy within is right wing, the soul of our Constitution is liberal, America's mass media is right wing, the right wing hijacked the "conservative" and "evangelical Christian" labels and hides behind them to give the right wing an appearance of good moral character, true conservatives and true liberals have much in common since both cherish our Constitution including separation of church and state and both are being hurt in many serious ways by the right wing, in sharp contrast right-wingers act as if they're in sympathy with the enemy of 1776 as shown by their contempt for the representative democracy and fair taxation and public good called for in our Declaration of Independence and by their contempt for the humane values and supreme law in our Constitution, right-wingers and conservatives are as different as night and day, the enemy within cleverly manipulates Americans to pit conservatives against liberals and red against blue to create division and discord so that good citizens unwittingly help the right wing divide and conquer America, and with wild success the enemy within prevents the American public from knowing any of this.

They use our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Flag as symbols to hide behind as they violate the substance of our Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and the true meaning of our Flag. That wolves-in-sheep's-clothing ruse helps them to control, exploit, and hurt our country and citizens. They abuse Christianity and the Bible in very same fashion -- for the very same purpose.

Through skillful use of advertising-and-PR techniques and their news-and-entertainment media machine, they manipulate Americans by the millions to help them divide and conquer America, to support their lawbreaking and inhumanity, and thus to aid and abet the enemy's assault on America's self-governance and common well-being.

According to our Constitution, "We, the People . . . provide for the common defence" of our country including against harm from American wealth and power. But the enemy within crippled our ability to defend our country: by purging the knowledge and practice of genuine American democracy from America, they severely weakened our national security against dangerous treats from within by Americans. Worse yet, they break down our national security in this very horrific way: they use our Charters of Freedom and Flag and even our troops as decoy weapons against America, and they manipulate well-meaning defenders of America to unwittingly attack America (such as the way they manipulate Americans to constantly pit conservatives against liberals, and red against blue, in order to destroy unity and cooperation and to create division and discord they need to divide and conquer America).

The enemy within is a far worse danger to America's national security -- that is, to America's principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being -- than communism ever was.

The enemy within hurts the common well-being of today's America, much like the enemy of 1776 hurt the common well-being of Colonial America.

Our current forms of good citizenship -- reading and watching the news to stay informed, individuals and organizations supporting just causes and working on vital civic issues and participating in political campaigns, independent media reporting case after case of lawbreaking and inhumanity by those who abuse power (events that America's newspapers and talking heads typically cover up or spin into goodness), dissenting against wrongdoing, whistleblowing for the public good, writing to our Senators and Congressman, voting in every election -- barely work anymore.

The only possible way to stop this subversion and harm to our nation, and to repair and improve America back up to the supreme law and generous humanity in our Constitution, is to unite and cooperate and remove from power the relatively few people assaulting America -- the enemy within, our dangerous homeland enemy -- and restore We the People to power.

Ancient humankind, and America's founders, knew and feared this deadly problem that began to flare up in our homeland around 1980: wealth and power consolidate, take over and dominate, inflict harm on the common good, and target other nations with similar and worse control and exploitation. Our human past, and America's past, shout out how to solve this new version of a very old problem. Listen to the wisdom, unite and cooperate, and just do it like in 1776.

Take part in American Revolution II: a national, broad-based, collaborative citizen effort to neutralize the enemy within that's subverting and hurting America, and to restore principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being to America and nurture them to flourish. Spread word of America's big-picture problem to the entire public

A first step toward defeating the enemy -- is to know the enemy inside and out.

Around 1980, executive/legislative/judicial federal powers, wealth-corporate power, Christian-Right religious power, and mass-media power began to consolidate into the unbridled right-wing power that rules America today: the enemy within, our dangerous homeland enemy.

They already disabled our special American democracy. They are removing our common well-being at a faster and faster pace. They grow stronger and more dangerous day by day. The new kind of democracy they manipulate us to practice -- an unprincipled free-market democracy that in no way resembles the special American democracy embodied our Constitution -- cannot possibly stop them.

The wealth-corporate base of the enemy within consists of a half-million voters, 0.15% of the public. During the past quarter-century, by wooing and winning over a Christian-Right base with similar aims and values in regard to dominating and exploiting and hurting people, they increased their election-day clout 50-fold to 30 million voters, 10% of the public.

Also around 1980, they began to create a national right-wing persuasion machine. They combined advertising, public-relations, journalism, and entertainment into "communication" where news reporters, talking heads, and actors serve their employers' advertising and political clients (or else get fired and defamed) and not the public interest. They stripped the FCC's fairness doctrine and public-service requirements from broadcasting which gave rise to right-wing hate broadcasting and radical-right religious broadcasting. They removed the FCC's restrictions on media consolidation and then merged broadcasting stations and various other types of media companies into a few giant media corporations which conglomerated with multinational corporations who together control America's mass-media content including the news. They force public broadcasting to shift to the right. Today all forms of mass media -- print, radio, television, film, news and entertainment, corporate-owned and public-owned -- operate like a giant right-wing persuasion team, aided by their ruse of being "Liberal Media."

That consolidated wealth and power, and their media machine, are a 10% minority. They control, exploit, and hurt America's 90% majority.

With huge assistance from their advertising-and-PR industries, and from their news-and-entertainment industries, they masquerade as a patriotic and pious majority oozing with integrity and moral goodness.

They, the enemy within, erased core civic understanding from America. So completely that most citizens today don't know that principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being form the basis of our "more perfect Union." As a result, America as a whole no longer knows that We the People are the government of America. Or that We the People have supreme power -- including over the President and Congress and Supreme Court, who are the help we hire, and over the laws they make and the actions they take on behalf of America. Besides erasing the concept of principled self-governance from our public schools and public mind, they erased the concept of citizen duty to provide bountiful common well-being to our nation and future generations. Here's proof. Can you, as a Civics-101 exercise based on the first sentence of our Constitution, recite and explain the fruits of America's social contract: the five major kinds of common well-being that We the People, the government of America, are bound by supreme law to provide to ourselves and our posterity?

They prevent America from knowing that "corporate personhood" is illegal. Today's belief of corporate personhood, that corporations were created equal to people and possess inalienable rights like people do, was preposterous and anathema to America's founders. The 1886 Supreme Court decision that supposedly granted personhood rights to corporations was not an actual court decision: it was an assertion by a single judge, was not deliberated by the court, was falsely entered into the summary record as a court decision, which became the corporate-personhood basis of modern law. Thus our system of law that permits corporations to buy influence and shut out We-the-People influence, and to hurt citizens and communities and the environment -- on the basis of corporate-personhood rights -- is an illegal house-of-cards. (We the People can blow down that house-of-cards and rebuild it into a just system of law where true democracy, the common good, and corporate profit are all well served, as the Framers intended.)

They prevent America from knowing that "God and Country" is illegal, and from seeing the dangerous nature of today's small but growing Christian Right who strive to combine church and state. Affirmation of secularism and separation-of-church-and-state -- "[T]he government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion" -- became supreme Law of the Land equal in weight to our Constitution in 1797 without controversy. The religion of the Christian Right -- born-again Christian Zionism -- is an inhumane nihilistic new brand of Christianity that emerged in the late 1800s, a century after the American Revolution, and was not the Christianity of our nation's founders. Our Constitution requires We the People, as mortal humans, to provide bountiful common well-being to ourselves and our posterity. But the Christian Right is heartlessly at odds with that secular humanity, beginning with their belief that We the People are innately bad and cannot possibly provide goodness to others on our secular own. They are also at odds with principled self-governance by We the People: they want America to be ruled by leaders who carry out the will of their version of God instead of the will of We the People, and who follow their radical and inhumane Christian-Zionist interpretation of the Bible instead of our wise and humane Constitution.

Why do they -- consolidated wealth and power and their media machine -- purge, block, and distort vital civic understanding of America? They do it to deeply wound our capacity to see them and their harm to America and to stop them from subverting and hurting America.

They disabled our democracy -- our representative governance, our democratic processes -- and thus crippled our ability to restrain them from dominating, exploiting, and hurting America. At a pace that intensifies day by day, they harm our justice, unity and cooperation, national security, general welfare, liberty, the world and its people, the environment, and our posterity. They violate our Constitution -- Preamble, Articles, Amendments, separation of powers, separation of church and state -- in technicality and spirit to the core. They stealthily morphed our government of, by, and for We the People into an illegal government of, by, and for the enemy within: today's White House and Congress serve wealth-corporate clients in return for their campaign cash and other favors and Christian-Right clients in return for their large bloc of votes -- at the economic, social, and bodily expense of We the People and our posterity. Today's White House and Congress install the judges, write the laws, conduct the policies, award the funds, and launch the wars their clients want. They, the entire enemy within working as a team, corrupted America into a far lesser country that is not at all what our Flag stands for. Wielding their news-and-entertainment media machine as a weapon of deception and manipulation, they manufacture democratic support for their unlawfulness and inhumanity, they silence alarms and neuter opposition from We the People, and they hide and spin all this reality so skillfully that most Americans have no idea what's happening.

They are tearing up the social contract that began when Colonial Americans organized local self-governance and taxed themselves to provide common-well-being benefits to themselves. That social contract is embodied our Constitution: in return for efforts made and taxes paid by We the People during our self-governance of America, we receive bountiful common well-being for ourselves and our posterity. They are eliminating our self-governance and are slashing our common-well-being benefits. Such as like this: the taxes we pay -- which are collected more-and-more from labor and from those less able to pay, and collected less-and-less from capital and from those more able to pay -- are spent by the White House and Congress more-and-more to serve their wealth-corporate and Christian-Right clients, and less-and-less to provide bountiful common well-being to We the People and our posterity. Injustices milder than these triggered the Boston Tea Party, Declaration of Independence, and American Revolution.

They rob us of our self-governance. They rob us of our five classes of common well-being, including our wealth by a system of tax and corporate fleecing and by taking from our federal trust funds. They financially rob our future generations through deficit spending and heavy borrowing. Who gains? The half-million in their wealth-corporate base, who receive trillions in trickle-up wealth in return for cash and favors they give to the White House and Congress. The 30 million in their Christian-Right base also gain, who rejoice in seeing the White House and Congress do God's work for them in return for their large bloc of votes during elections: the inhumanity produced by the White House and Congress and upheld by a wealth-corporate Christian-Right Judiciary -- inhumanity that makes America and the world a worse place and triggers conflict in the Middle East -- is needed to fast-track the "end times" the Christian Right sees prophesied in the Bible. The lookout and getaway car for this heist of America's self-governance and common well-being? Our press and the rest of our mass media, who, like the White House and Congress and Judiciary, gradually switched sides during the past quarter-century: from serving We the People, to serving the enemy within.

They use the term "free market" to hide their actual rigged-market practices. Their free-market democracy, their free-market economy, and their free-market public services -- such as free-market public education and free-market healthcare -- have all hurt America. Because their free-market practices are devoid of the wise-and-humane legal and moral principles -- devoid of the real American values -- the Framers wove into our Constitution.

Day by day, America's right-wing wealth and power gain more freedom to do as they please -- at the expense of We the People, our posterity, the environment, and the world.

Communism within, a treat to America's national security, was nothing compared to the subversion and harm by the enemy within of today.

This political disease -- the wealth-and-power disease well understood by humankind for ages, and so feared by the Framers they designed our Constitution to prevent it from ever flaring up in America -- has advanced to a stage so dangerous that our current forms of good citizenship and civic-and-political action cannot possibly stop it.

Broadcast, to all of America, the full solution by We the People

Another first step toward defeating the enemy -- is to know that We the People can win big if we A) consolidate all our civic efforts, from individuals and organizations both conservative and liberal, into a single We-the-People civic power (our numbers are huge compared to the size of the right-wing enemy), B) draw strength from having the law on our side (the enemy violates our Law of the Land) and from having truth on our side (the enemy has to lie to stay in power), and if we C) consult and heed the wisdom of our past including the legal power and moral power in our Charters of Freedom (humankind has subdued berserk wealth-and-power many times before, knows how to keep it on tight leash to ensure the common good, and the Framers wrote much of this ancient community-survival wisdom into our Constitution).

Our chances of success are extremely favorable: Our overwhelming 9-to-1 majority, our natural urges for justice, our wisdom of humankind that passed down through the ages, our Declaration of Independence, our American Revolution, and our Constitution tell us the full solution. All together, they tell We the People how to stop the assault, reverse the harm, and design and enact national-defense / national-security reforms to make sure the wealth-and-power disease never flares up within out homeland to hurt America again. All these good things tell us how to UNITE and COOPERATE in a common cause to fight and defeat the common enemy hurting us -- like we did to create America -- and how to rebuild and then grow our principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being back into the America envisioned by the founders of our nation. The total solution comes from tens of millennia of humankind's wisdom and from America's founders -- not from this writer. It consists of four basic phases or elements:

Element 1. Warn and inform America about the enemy within and their subversion and harm, lay out the full solution, explain the hugely-favorable odds of success, and create a national civic-action congress to grow our civic power and to direct American Revolution II. The function of the warning would be like Paul Revere's ride. The function of the congress would be similar to how the Continental Congress built up citizen forces and oversaw American Revolution I. A first order of business for the congress: issue a list of injustices and violations of our Constitution, and a call for redress, to morally-outrage the entire public to rise up and join. Model it after our Declaration of Independence: more than 50% of the original is a list of injustices inflicted on Colonial America by the enemy of 1776, injustices remarkable similar to those being inflicted on today's America by the enemy within; the first injustice listed is Great Britain's refusal to assent to laws "most wholesome and necessary for the public Good." The America our founders created made "the public Good" a top priority -- "Justice," "domestic Tranquility," "the common defence," "the general Welfare," and "the Blessings of Liberty" "to ourselves and our Posterity" -- which the enemy within today is fast stripping away. A possible spin-off from the congress: a new political party, committed to serving We the People, that would overwhelmingly defeat today's two major parties who serve the enemy within (see Element 4). Element 1 would drive success of Elements 2-4.

Element 2. Restore our nation's core wisdom-and-humanity skills needed for good citizenship: respect, responsibility, cooperation, and critical thinking. Restore core civic understanding to America, which would begin by teaching this old basic about our Constitution: We the People are America's government and supreme power, with supreme responsibility to provide the Preamble's five types of public good to ourselves and our posterity (they are the Five Commandments of America), and the Articles and Amendments specify how to achieve, protect, and preserve this principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being that forms our "more perfect Union." Without this core skill and core understanding within the hearts and minds of all citizens, our government of, by, and for We the People cannot possibly function and America cannot possibly live up to its Constitution. How has the erasure of core citizenship skills and core civic understanding helped the enemy within? It has impaired the capacity We the People to defend America against subversion and harm inflicted by the enemy within. Civics-education reform -- of core citizenship skills, of core civic understanding -- is a crucial part of the national-defense / national-security reform that America desperately needs today (see below). After civics-education reform, America would again have a population of socially-responsible clear-thinking good citizens who understand the moral and legal essence in our Charters of Freedom, which would greatly strengthen America's ability to carry out Elements 1, 3, and 4.

Element 3. Ask red-and-blue Washington, and our mass media, to switch sides -- from serving the right-wing enemy within back to serving We the People and our posterity. If that effort fails, proceed to Element 4.

Element 4. Create a new political party that is intensely committed to living up to our Constitution by restoring and growing the principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being that the enemy within removed from America, and by undertaking several vital national-defense / national-security reforms (see below) to make sure that unbridled wealth-and-power and deceptive-and-manipulative mass media would never flare up to hurt America again. Such a new political party, especially after advertising the immense taxpayer savings it could achieve (see below) as just one of several improvements in "the general Welfare," absolutely would defeat red and blue in landslide victories (see below).

During Elements 1-4, promote this stunning benefit of national-defense / national-security reform: pay a tax of $50 a year -- to save $15,000 a year. Public-financed political campaigns would totally eliminate campaign contributions and their corrupting effect on our self-governance and common well-being. Campaign-finance reform, together with other national-defense / national-security reforms -- mass-media reform, political-advertising reform, political-favor reform, judicial/court reform, corporate-law reform to disable corporate personhood, civics-education reform, reforms to safeguard separation of powers, separation of corporation and state, and separation of church and state -- would restore our representative governance and democratic processes, which would pave the way to regrow our five classes of common well-being. A $50 tax per taxpayer a year would deposit $7 billion a year into a federal campaign-finance pool that would generously fund all Presidential, Senate, and House races. After genuine American democracy is restored, the massive plundering of We the People by the enemy within would cease -- it currently totals about two trillion dollars a year in tax-and-corporate fleecing, $15,000 per taxpayer a year on the average. That 300-to-1 benefit-to-cost ratio -- pay a tax of $50 to save $15,000 -- although not nearly as high as the return on investment enjoyed by many campaign contributors today, is quite respectable.

Throughout American Revolution II, use this potent strategy: Explain how the right-wing enemy within manipulates the American public to pit conservatives and liberals against each other -- to create domestic division and discord that wipes out the ability of We the People to unite and cooperate to defend America against subversion and harm by the enemy within -- and how it violates "the public Good" goal #2 in the Preamble: "insure domestic Tranquility" that We the People need for national unity and cooperation to achieve our "more perfect Union." That is, tell the entire American public how the right wing wants Americans to help them divide and conquer America and hugely violate the Constitution in the process. Then, rally conservatives and liberals to assail the right wing hurting them both. Today's Minutemen, the millions of conservative NRA members whose precious Declaration of Independence and Constitution and Flag are being defiled by the right wing and whose families and futures are being seriously hurt by the right wing, could easily be enlisted to join American Revolution II in patriotic defense their country. So could our troops, who really should be told how during much of their duty abroad they serve the right-wing enemy within, not their country, and seriously violate their military oath in the process.

The hard-core faction of the right wing barely holds onto power, must illegally and immorally resort to several unfair practices to do so, and is vulnerable. During the next election, we could begin to shift America's governing power back toward We the People, which would speed up achievement of Elements 1-4. Have a look. During the November-2004 presidential election, 30 million hard-core right-wingers (the wealth-corporate and Christian-Right bases of the enemy within) voted red, the right wing's media machine skillfully manipulated 32 million others to also vote red -- 62 million voted red -- and 59.5 million voted blue and independent. If their media machine had swayed 3 million fewer citizens to vote red -- or if 3 million more victims of the right wing had overcome the right wing's many types of voter suppression to make it to the polls -- the blue presidential candidate would have won, many more blue candidates for the Senate and House would have won, and the right wing and its media machine would be weaker and less harmful today. A tiny shift of 3 million votes, 1% of the population, would have done it. The Hard-Core faction of the right wing is on the precarious edge of losing power to the Lite faction of the right wing.

Instead of neutralizing the right wing in a dragged-out gradual slow process, during which America would lose even more self-governance and common well-being to subversion and harm by the right wing, why not patriotically shove the entire right wing, Hard-Core and Lite, right over the edge and quickly get it over with. In Element 1's American-Revolution-II version of the Declaration of Independence, along with the list of right-wing injustices and violations of our Constitution that must be stopped and reversed by We the People, explain this forbidden truth to the entire American public: red and blue are two flavors of the same right-wing political monopoly that rules and hurts America today. The red flavor, although more pious, is more unlawful and more inhumane than the blue flavor. The red flavor is Hard-Core Right: reds lavishly service their wealth-corporate and Christian-Right clients at huge expense to We the People and our posterity. The blue flavor is Lite Right: blues do the same as reds but in weaker and less-harmful ways, hurting America like a slow-spreading political cancer rather than like the red's fast-spreading political cancer. To compete with reds in today's democracy marketplace of heavily-advertised political products -- a marketplace currently rigged by reds, blues, and America's mass media to shut out and disparage all other political parties and their candidates and issues, a marketplace devoid of the legal and moral principles and real American values in our Constitution -- blues are fast becoming more red-like to attract more wealth-corporate campaign cash and to swing Christian-Right votes away from reds. Fully inform the 90% conservative-and-liberal majority how they and their country are being hurt and betrayed in many serious and illegal ways by the red and blue parties -- how both parties subvert our self-governance and hurt our common well-being in myriad ways, how both parties violate our Constitution to the core in the process. After learning of this massive injustice, 50-100 million new voters -- together with the 32 million voters who were swayed to vote red in 2004 and the 59.5 million who voted blue and independent then -- would flood to the polls in moral outrage, and would vote into the White House and Congress a fresh new slate of true public servants who belong to the new political party created during Element 4.

Each and every civic-minded individual and group in our nation has a vital role to play in this long-overdue major maintenance and tune-up of our democracy -- especially journalists, educators, clergy, political and business leaders, and public-interest and civic-action groups. Today, our Declaration of Independence and Constitution and Flag serve only the right-wing enemy within -- as appealing symbols that cover up their unlawful and inhumane wrongdoing. Let's use the powerful substance of our Charters of Freedom and true meaning of our Flag -- as we take part in this national, broad-based, collaborative citizen effort to neutralize the consolidated wealth and power and their media machine that are subverting and hurting America, and to restore principled self-governance and bountiful common well-being to America and nurture them to flourish.
